Lag is caused by many things: connection type (lan/wlan), server ping, FPS..
You said that you use wifi, and your distance to server gives a certain lag, if your specs and internet is bad, then your gameplay will be bad.
I suggest using lower graphics, frame limiter off for better gameplay.
We cannot affect on anything, your gameplay may appear differently for other players, we cant know for sure.
